Reporting into the Head of Internal HR & Legal this varied and challenging role supports our HRO and on-demand clients with Employee Relations queries. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional service to our clients, so we're seeking a highly organised, accurate, and articulate team player.
Main Responsibilities
Act as first point of contact for ER queries via helpline and inbox
Advise on a range of employee relations matters, including absence, performance, disciplinary, and grievance cases
Support clients across all stages of the employee lifecycle
Provide proactive guidance to line managers, including scripts, documentation reviews, and investigation support
Draft and tailor letters and documentation related to ER cases
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
Support policy writing, reviews, and implementation
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records on the case management system
Attend client sites as required, representing the HR Advisory service professionally
Keep up-to-date with employment and case law, applying and sharing knowledge across the team
Support HR Consultancy as needed on projects including policy reviews, learning and development and HR audits.
Skills & Experience Required (OR What We're Looking For OR What You'll Bring To The Role)
Proven experience as an HR Advisor, HR Consultant, or similar role
Strong background in a busy HR environment with the ability to manage high caseloads
Sound knowledge of employment legislation, statutory requirements, and best practice HR
Confident advising senior staff and handling both basic and complex ER cases
Experience with TUPE and redundancy cases (desirable)
Skilled in drafting HR documents and policies across the employee lifecycle
Excellent written communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
High level of confidentiality and professionalism
Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new systems quickly

CIPD Level 5 is preferred
Additional Information
You will be required to work 35 hours a week Monday to Friday with 2 days in the office.
On-site training is provided (based from our offices). We're rural so you must be able to drive and be willing to be office based initially.
