The Role:
As Employee Relations Advisor, you'll join our dynamic HR team to deliver consistent and pragmatic employee relations advice across the organisation. Working closely with line managers and the wider HR team, you will handle day-to-day casework and help build manager capability, promoting a fair and inclusive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations Case Management:
Provide advice and support to managers on ER matters including disciplinary, grievance, and performance
Manage your own ER case load with accurate documentation and timely resolution
Maintain clear records to meet internal policy requirements
Support investigations and prepare documentation for formal hearings
Onboarding and Payroll Support:
Assist with pre-employment screening processes including right to work checks
Process and verify new starter documentation
Work with the HR team to ensure employee lifecycle changes are accurately recorded
Conduct checks of employee data to ensure accuracy and compliance
Policy and Process Support:
Help ensure all HR activities align with employment legislation and best practice
Support implementation of HR policies and procedures
Assist with reporting relevant to employee matters
Coaching and Advisory:
Provide practical advice to managers on HR policies
Support fair and consistent application of HR procedures
Contribute to guidance materials that support good people management

Who We're Looking For:
Experience in HR or previous line management/supervisory experience
Some understanding of HR policies and employment legislation
Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, proactive attitude
Ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion and empathy
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Someone who genuinely enjoys HR and takes pride in their work
Ambitious team player looking to develop their career
Location: Based in UK with presence in office required 1 day per week
