In this role, you'll lead ER activity for the business, ensuring we maintain excellence and professionalism in all people-related matters while navigating complex regulatory requirements.

About the Role




As our ER Partner, you'll be the go-to expert for complex employee relations matters, providing strategic guidance and hands-on support across our UK operations. Working in a highly regulated reinsurance environment, you'll ensure our people practices are compliant, fair, and aligned with organizational objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Lead organizational change processes

including redundancy, restructuring, and collective consultation with sensitivity and legal compliance

Manage complex ER cases

including disciplinary proceedings, grievances, and performance management issues from initiation to resolution

Develop and implement strategies

for effective absence management and capability/conduct cases

Oversee TUPE processes

and changes to employment terms and conditions with meticulous attention to detail

Collaborate with legal counsel

and key stakeholders to ensure best practice and legal compliance across all ER activities

Enhance HR frameworks

by contributing to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of policies and procedures

Deliver targeted training

for managers on key ER topics, building organizational capability and confidence

Maintain comprehensive documentation

in line with data protection requirements and confidentiality standards

About You




You're a confident HR professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. With your extensive employee relations experience, you bring both technical expertise and a people-centered approach. You're known for your sound judgment, discretion, and ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levels. Your analytical mindset allows you to navigate challenging situations while maintaining empathy and professionalism.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:




8+ years of specialized ER experience or equivalent


HR Partner/Generalist role with significant ER focus


Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law and demonstrable experience managing complex ER issues from end to end


Proven track record supporting organizational change including redundancy, TUPE, and restructuring processes


CIPD qualification (Level 5 minimum) or equivalent professional experience


Experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures in regulated environments


These are additional nice to haves:Experience in financial services, insurance, or reinsurance sectors


Advanced stakeholder management skills with ability to influence at senior leadership level


Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail


Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations


Experience delivering ER-focused training and development for managers


NB: This is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract position
