We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Employment Law Solicitor to join our legal team. The successful candidate will specialise in employment law, providing expert advice and representation to clients on a variety of employment-related matters. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated lawyer who enjoys both contentious and non-contentious employment work, to work within a dynamic environment, supporting clients through complex legal issues and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. The Employment Solicitor will play a key role in negotiating favourable outcomes and fostering strong professional relationships.
Responsibilities
Advising clients on a wide range of employment law matters, including contractual issues, disputes, dismissals, discrimination, redundancy and TUPE
Drafting and reviewing employment agreements, policies, and settlement agreements.
Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and tribunal proceedings
Conducting legal research to stay abreast of legislative changes affecting employment law
Assisting with the preparation of case files and legal submissions
Negotiating favourable settlements and outcomes on behalf of clients
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external organisations
Providing training sessions or seminars on employment law topics as required
Skills
Proven expertise in employment law with a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation
Strong negotiation skills to effectively advocate for clients' interests
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, tailored to diverse audiences
Ability to analyse complex legal issues and provide clear, practical advice
Proactive approach with a commitment to continuous professional development
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
