Goldfinch & Partners has been instructed by a respected Altrincham-based law firm to find a Senior Employment Lawyer (Associate or Director level) for their strategic, flexible team. This is an opportunity for a talented lawyer to deliver both advisory and contentious employment work to a high-quality client portfolio. You'll shape employment policy, lead on complex matters, and help direct the future of the firm's employment law practice.
About the Role
Advise on a broad range of employment law matters for businesses and senior executives, including contracts, policies, grievances, disciplinaries, redundancies, restructures, TUPE, discrimination, whistleblowing, and reorganisations.
Lead and support contentious work: advise, represent, and resolve matters--from employment tribunals to complex settlement negotiations.
Draft and review employment contracts, handbooks, consultancy agreements, restrictive covenants, and manage internal investigations.
Provide strategic counsel to clients--from SMEs to larger corporates--helping minimise risk and resolve workplace disputes.
Mentor and develop junior lawyers, contribute to know-how, and foster a collaborative, solutions-focused culture.
Support business development and help maintain the firm's excellent reputation in the market.

Who We're Looking For
UK qualified solicitor with 7+ years' PQE in employment law; ideally with experience at Senior Associate or Director level.
Demonstrable expertise across the full spectrum of advisory and contentious UK employment law.
Strong leadership, mentorship, and case management skills.
Commercial mindset, exceptional drafting and negotiation abilities.
Track record working with both employers and senior employees/executives.
Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-driven team player.
