The Employment Supported Co-Ordinator plays an integral role within the 'Out of Work Service' in facilitating career opportunities for individuals facing employment barriers, often due to disabilities or socio-economic challenges. The Employment Supported Co-Ordinator will foster a network of understanding employers and creating tailored work experience placement and paid employment strategies.
This role ensures that participants not only secure positions that match their skills and interests but also receive the necessary support to thrive in their roles.

The role is in the Out of Work Service, working across RCT, Merthyr Tydfil and Bridgend.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with project colleagues in particular the OOWS Triage Officer and Volunteer and Training Co-Ordinator.
Collaborate with the OOWS stakeholders to create employment opportunities.
Engage participants using a person-centred approach.
Build relationships with employers across various sectors.
Liaise with Job Centre Plus and external partners.
Attend job fairs, networking events, and forums.
Support employers to become Employment Confident.
Ensure quality, compliance, and performance targets are met as per the OOWS contract - specialising on meeting the KPI needs of the OOWS employment outcomes.
Maintain accurate records and GDPR compliance.
Monitor KPIs and implement improvements and deliver reports to the OOWS Service manager.
Contribute to team meetings and provide cover when needed.
Create and nurture relationships with the OOWS team members and tailor a bespoke strategy to meet that needs of the participants.
Write and implement a fixed term employment strategy for the participants of the OOWS that considers the project specific criteria of the client group.
Assess participants' vocational skills, interests, and challenges through interviews and evaluations to match them with suitable job opportunities.
Develop individualised employment plans that outline the steps and support needed for participants to achieve their employment goals.
Establish and maintain relationships with local employers to identify job openings and create employment opportunities for participants.
Provide job coaching and on-the-job support to participants, including assistance with job tasks, workplace accommodations, and interpersonal communication.
Coordinate with vocational training programs and educational institutions to arrange skill development opportunities for participants.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions on resume writing, job search strategies, and interview preparation for participants.
Advocate for participants with employers and other external parties to ensure fair treatment and compliance with disability rights laws.
Monitor and document participants' progress in their employment journey, adjusting their employment plans as necessary to address any challenges or changes in their goals.

Full driving license and access to a vehicle.

Ability to speak and/or write fluent Welsh.
Experience in industrial/commercial environments.
Understanding of employment issues for individuals with MH and SMU challenges.
