Summary
As a Consultant at NHS Professionals, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare services within the NHS framework. This position offers you the flexibility to work according to your schedule while contributing to the well-being of patients across various specialties.
Responsibilities
Provide expert clinical advice and support within your specialty area.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
Diagnosing and managing a wide range of endocrine disorders such as diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, adrenal and pituitary diseases, osteoporosis, metabolic bone diseases, lipid disorders, and other hormonal imbalances.
Candidate to have MRCP and on the Specialist Register
Providing specialized care for patients with chronic conditions like Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, including the management of complications and associated conditions.
Interpreting results from a variety of tests such as blood glucose monitoring, hormone level testing, thyroid function tests, DEXA scans, and others relevant to endocrinology
Developing and implementing treatment plans which may include medication management, lifestyle advice, insulin therapy, and other interventions.
Providing consultative services to other physicians or healthcare professionals and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings.

Requirements
Medical degree and relevant specialty training completed.
Current registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Right to work in the UK
Clinical attachment complete - We do not offer placements in the NHS
Minimum of 6 months paid experience in the NHS/UK
references as a doctor that cover 2-3 years
