We're looking for a passionate and community-focused

Energy Adviser

to join our impactful project currently supporting residents across Huntingdonshire, Fenland, and East Cambridgeshire.

About the Role



Full time (37 hours FTE) and part time hours available

This community-based service supports vulnerable households in rural areas to reduce energy costs, improve home comfort, and lower carbon emissions. As an adviser, you'll work directly with local communities to deliver measurable social, economic, and environmental benefits.

Key Responsibilities



Provide tailored energy advice in accessible community spaces and client homes. Help households manage energy use to build financial resilience. Promote sustainable practices and energy efficiency. Strengthen community ties and ensure equitable access to support. Build strong relationships with partners, stakeholders and community groups

About the Project



This project is funded by the Energy Saving Trust and is to deliver a community-based energy advice and advocacy service, supporting vulnerable households experiencing fuel poverty. The goal is to empower residents to manage energy challenges sustainably and effectively, improving lives while contributing to carbon reduction goals.

What We're Looking For



Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for social impact and environmental sustainability A proactive attitude with the passion and drive to support vulnerable people in their communities, manage your own workload effectively, and contribute to the development and long-term success of the project.

Citizens Advice Rural Cambs is a local charity, entirely funded by grants and donations, serving at the heart of our community, covering Fenland and Huntingdonshire, and also through specific project funding East Cambridgeshire.

We are a member of national Citizens Advice.

Pay: 25,762.36-29,225.56 per year
