Location: Stoke on Trent, ST1 5PZ

We are seeking an Energy Analyst to join our team, responsible for supporting the effective management of utilities across the business.

In this role, you will process and validate utility invoices, monitor consumption trends, and carry out investigations where required.
You will provide financial analysis and reporting, manage queries from both internal and external stakeholders, and support the delivery of ad-hoc projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work confidently with data while building relationships across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve queries, validate/process invoices, meter readings, and data in the Energy System
  • Analyse consumption trends, spikes, and missing data; maintain accurate baselines and accruals
  • Produce timely, data-intensive financial and energy reports with a high degree of accuracy
  • Manage property change notifications and liaise with energy suppliers, brokers, and internal teams
  • Provide payment details, create payment files, and support finance with reporting requirements
  • Support the Energy Bureau Lead and wider team, including busy periods and client meetings
  • Carry out general administration, assign tasks to the Energy Administrator, and ensure professional communication with clients and external partners
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
  • Previous administrative experience, ideally within utilities or analytical roles
  • Knowledge of utility invoice validation platforms (training can be provided)
  • Understanding of utility supplies, distribution, or metering
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Highly organised with effective planning and scheduling ability
  • Analytical mindset with creativity in problem-solving and process improvement
