We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Delivery Manager to provide leadership of the team including management of staff, delivery of Smart Local Energy Fund/Regional Energy Strategy and the Local Area Energy Plans.

In this unique position you will play an integral role in decarbonising the region\'s economy in a way that brings in investment, creates jobs and sustainable growth. The role will give you the opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders in the sector, including local authorities, government, the private sector and our universities and colleges.

As Energy Delivery Manager at Ambition North Wales, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and delivering assigned projects within a programme environment including mobilisation, launch and delivery of the \xc2\xa325m Smart Local Energy Fund
  • Developing business cases for all assigned projects/workstreams
  • Achieving individual project/workstream objectives and cumulative programme outcomes and targets on time and within allocated resources
  • Coordinating projects and inter-dependencies across the programme and wider Growth Deal portfolio.
  • Leading on stakeholder engagement for the team working collaboratively with partners to deliver objectives and benefits.
At Ambition North Wales, we are looking for an Energy Delivery Manager who has the following:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • Ability to build relationships and motivate and inspire others to act. Ability to work under own initiative as well as within a team environment.
  • Experience of successful programme and/or project delivery to deadline and to budget.
  • Experience of effective public/stakeholder engagement.
  • Previous experience of contract management.
  • Experience of staff management and/or leadership skills
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the low carbon sector in North Wales
  • ICT literate, at ease with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and relevant databases and social media.
The team have adopted a hybrid working model with a mix of Llandudno Junction office based and home working. In return, you will receive a salary of \xc2\xa341,496 - \xc2\xa343,516 per annum plus membership of the local government pension scheme and generous annual leave entitlement. This is a full-time role with Ambition North Wales; however, we will consider flexible working requests for the right person. This is a 2-year fixed term contract initially.
