Operating within the Office of the Vice-Provost for Research, Innovation and Global Engagement (RIGE), the ACO collaborates extensively with UCL researchers, NHS and industry partners, other UCL divisions, and external funding bodies.

Our work centres on two key areas:

Capacity Development and Talent Management: We deliver a comprehensive programme of training and skills development for clinical trainees, translational researchers, and early-career researchers across UCL. Clinical Academic Training: We manage the UK's largest training programme for medics, dentists, and allied health professionals at UCL, and other strategic initiatives in partnership with NHS organisations to support the healthcare research workforce.

The ACO is a small, dynamic team of six professionals who work collaboratively across the university. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, inclusive, and creative team committed to supporting career development.
