About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and customer-focused individual to join our team. You will be responsible for organising accommodation bookings and supporting related administration for multi-day tours. This role is key to ensuring a high standard of service and smooth tour operations. This role requires someone with strong communication skills and a polite and professional telephone manner. Experience in a similar role or within the tourism sector is a bonus but not essential.
Successful candidates will enjoy trips on our tours as part of your training in order to fully appreciate the excellence of the services we provided.
Own transport is preferable.
As a part of the role, you will:
Booking and confirming accommodation for multi-day tours
Proactively pre-booking accommodation for all multi-day tours
Managing room cancellations and ensuring adherence to all in-house and third-party cancellation policies
Liaising with customers regarding accommodation queries
Monitoring feedback on accommodation quality standards and escalating issues where appropriate
Managing payments for accommodation providers
Assisting with accommodation administration tasks
Assisting the Private Hire team with accommodation bookings
What we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in tourism or hospitality.
Strong customer focus with excellent customer service skills
Leadership skills
Good computer skills
Excellent attention to detail
Comprehensive knowledge of Scotland and the tours operated by the Company
Good communication skills
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, proactive and able to work autonomously
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Good computer skills, and experience with booking/reservation systems is an advantage.
Job Details
Pay: 12.21 ph starting rate, rising to 12.40 ph after training period and working independently
