Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in MIG Welding. As a Welder/Fitter, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.

Duties

Operate power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts. Fabricate components from sheet metal according to specifications. Perform welding tasks using MIG welding techniques to join metal parts securely. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly. Conduct quality checks on finished products to maintain high standards. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Proficient in using power tools and hand tools for metal fabrication. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: 12.50-16.00 per hour
