Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work 40 hours per week, and be flexible in your role, covering 'peak' operating business times. Some of the key processes of the role include but are not limited to:
To ensure a prompt response time is afforded, whenever possible, to all occupied guest rooms, maintenance requests in a professional and courteous manner
To be proactive in your tasks, completing your allocated jobs list with a positive eye for detail whilst ensuring the hotel is both safe and functional for all guests and colleagues
To carry out all tasks in a technically professional manner with regard to safety and good engineering practice
To be responsible for the security of all hotel tools and equipment supplied or utilised during the performance of duties and report any substandard or defective equipment
To utilise relevant hotel systems such as Opera and be aware of NPS feedback related to tranquillity of room and public areas
To respond to reactive and preventative maintenance tasks
Experience you will have:
Gained work experience in the same or similar role, preferably within a prestigious hotel environment
A passion for Engineering within a hospitality setting and will be motivated to change and grow
Excellent levels of verbal and written communication in English
Ability to work with autonomy, responding to guest requests in a polite, courteous and effective manner
