We are seeking an experienced and reliable Cable Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be confident working on both underground and overhead networks, with strong technical skills and the ability to deliver high-quality work safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Read, understand, and work from job packs and network drawings.
Complete and submit A55s/as-built documentation accurately and on time.
Perform testing of ducting, rods and rope, and cable routes.
Install, joint, and maintain underground and overhead cables to required standards.
Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
Conduct site checks, risk assessments, and method statements as needed.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, planners, and other engineers.
Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working condition.
Requirements
Previous experience in a cable engineering/telecoms/civil utilities role.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and job packs.
Strong understanding of underground and overhead cable installation methods.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time-keeping and reliability are essential.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid UK driving licence.
NRSWA, SA002/SA001, K8/K7, or other relevant industry qualifications (desirable but not essential depending on experience).

Pay: 120.00-180.00 per day
