Reliability Lead



We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Engineer Planner to join our Crewe Bakery site. This is a key role within the engineering team, responsible for planning and coordinating all planned maintenance activities, driving continuous improvement, and supporting reliability across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and prioritise all scheduled maintenance activities using the site's CMMS. Liaise with stakeholders to manage and schedule work requests effectively. Support root cause and failure analysis (RCM, FMEA) to improve asset reliability. Capture, analyse and report downtime and maintenance data to inform improvements. Contribute to the delivery of the site's asset care strategy and continuous improvement plans. Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and health & safety standards. Assist in the identification of training needs and resource planning within the engineering team.

Requirements:

A recognised qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (HND/HNC, degree, or time-served apprenticeship). Minimum of 2 years' experience in a food manufacturing or similar FMCG environment. Proficient with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office. Strong understanding of maintenance strategies, root cause analysis and reliability principles. Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Proactive, organised and committed to continuous improvement.
