The Engineering Administration Support Assistant provides administrative and technical support to the Engineering and Maintenance departments, ensuring accurate documentation, efficient data management, and regulatory compliance within an aircraft component maintenance environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining engineering records, supporting component tracking, and assisting with technical documentation and planning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
Maintain and organise engineering and maintenance records, including work orders, technical data, modification documents, and service bulletins.
Assist in the preparation, formatting, and control of engineering documentation and reports.
Support document control processes to ensure compliance with company procedures and aviation regulatory requirements (e.g., CAA Part 145 & Part 21G).
Maintain up-to-date filing systems (electronic and paper-based) for engineering documents, drawings, and technical data.
Engineering Support:
Assist engineers with the collection, review, and entry of technical data into maintenance management systems.
Track component lifecycles, part numbers, and serviceability status in coordination with Planning and Logistics teams.
Support the implementation of engineering change requests, modifications, and service bulletin incorporations.
Assist with data analysis, reporting, and compiling information for audits and regulatory reviews.
Regulatory & Quality Compliance:
Ensure all documentation meets internal quality standards and aviation authority requirements.
Support engineering and quality audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.
Monitor the status of engineering actions and ensure timely closure of open items.
Coordination & Communication:
Liaise with internal departments (Production, Quality Assurance, Planning, Logistics) to ensure smooth communication and information flow.
Communicate with OEMs and suppliers for technical data, service bulletins, and component documentation.
Provide administrative support for meetings, minutes, and coordination of engineering projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of
2 years' experience
in an administrative or technical support role, preferably within the
aerospace or maintenance engineering industry
.
Familiarity with
aviation maintenance documentation and regulatory standards
(CAA Part 145 & Part 21G) is highly desirable.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience with
maintenance management software
preferred.
Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
