ABOUT THE ROLE
The Engineering Administrator is responsible for managing all aspects of financial, procurement, and administrative functions within the Engineering Department. This includes raising requisitions, sending purchase orders, verifying work completion with the Director of Engineering and Chief Engineer, and ensuring that all invoices are processed and paid on time. The role also involves maintaining the finance system in compliance with company standards and policies, as well as overseeing budget tracking, expense reporting, and overall financial control for the department. The Engineering Administrator coordinates with external contractors, suppliers, and vendors to arrange specialized maintenance and repair services when required. The role supports day-to-day operations by processing purchase requisitions, tracking orders, and coordinating incoming jobs to ensure timely and efficient completion. This position also includes administrative and coordination duties that promote smooth departmental operations. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate and well-organized documentation, assisting in scheduling and project planning, ensuring proper record keeping of job sheets, certifications, reports, and update PPM program sheets, as well as other operational and compliance-related documents. The role further supports effective communication between engineers, management, and other departments and ensures that all necessary resources are available for the engineering team.
