Casepak, a leader in recycling and resource management, is looking for a dynamic
Engineering & Fleet Workshop Manager
to join our team in Leicester. This is a high-impact role overseeing our modern fleet of HGVs and Materials Handling Equipment (MHE), as well as all aspects of heavy engineering and fleet compliance.

Role and Responsibilities
No two days are the same in this fast-paced and varied role. You'll be responsible for the end-to-end management of our engineering and fleet workshop operations. You will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team including HGV Technicians, Heavy Plant Engineers, a Field Service Engineer, and a busy Service Desk Team.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing all maintenance, repair, and compliance activities for our HGV and MHE fleet
Overseeing workshop operations and ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency
Leading, mentoring and developing a skilled engineering team
Supporting our apprenticeship programme, including mentoring and training future talent
Ensuring compliance with DVSA, HSE, and other regulatory bodies
Managing budgets, parts inventory, and service contracts
Driving continuous improvement in safety, reliability, and performance
About You
You're a hands-on, experienced engineering and fleet professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for high standards and safety. You have a deep understanding of fleet compliance, preventative maintenance regimes, and workshop best practices.
You'll bring:
Proven experience managing HGV and/or heavy plant engineering operations
Strong knowledge of fleet compliance and regulatory standards
Excellent leadership and team development skills
Ability to manage budgets, resources, and complex workloads
A proactive and adaptable mindset - ready for whatever the day brings
A passion for mentoring and developing the next generation of engineers
Operator CPC (Desired, but would be an expectation of the role that you would be willing to take on this development as part of your role)
