Department and are currently recruiting for the role of Engineering and Product Quality Manager on the Day Shift. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation.
Shift Pattern:
39 hours each week with a flexible starting time between 07:00 and 08:00 Monday to Friday, with a flexible finish time between 16:00 and 17:00 Monday to Thursday, and on a Friday, a finish time of 12.00. You will be entitled to a 30-minute unpaid lunch break between 12:00 and 12:30 Monday to Thursday. Additionally, you will have a 10-minute paid break each morning Monday to Friday and a 10-minute paid break each afternoon Monday to Thursday.

Role Accountabilities:
Lead the Engineering and Product Quality functions to deliver products on time, within budget and at the required level of right first time.
Establishing a comprehensive and documented set of Engineering and Product Quality data to control and improve the performance of Quality, Cost and Delivery in line with required targets and standards.
Attends the Daily Operations Meeting to identify problems for resolution by the Engineering & Product Quality team, while managing problem solving capacity and accepting effective solutions.
Leads the Standard Diary for Engineering and Quality Functions.
Manage Manufacturing and Quality Engineering processes to control all aspects of component manufacturing.
Principal Engineering & Product Quality point of contact for significant Customer and Supplier related issues.
General Responsibilities:
Effective Project Management - Develops and maintains effective project management tools and techniques to manage and report out on NPDI progress.
Supports the Bid/No Bid process to ensure alignment of new product to business capability and strategy.
Development of robust, cost effective and appropriate inspection methodologies for inspecting products during produce life cycle supported by MSA to AS13003.
Effective application of the "EHS Model" to create a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant place of work, and a culture which promotes adherence to these principles.
Lead problem solving activities.
Ensuring the completion of First Article Inspection Reports and associated documentation using AS9102 to Customer requirements.
Deployment of Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
Supports the Site Commercial Lead ensuring new opportunities are capitalised upon, adherence to the NPDI gated process is demonstrated and strategic alignment is maintained.
Lead Lean Events to improve any aspect of performance associated with new product introduction.
Leads the planning, justification and commissioning of new plant and equipment through allocation of suitable Manufacturing Engineering resource as required.
Develop employees to ensure they are trained to carry out the job(s) assigned to them, and to positively contribute to the performance and agreed standards of the area and in line with corporate values.
Owns and builds the apprenticeship program. Ensuring a robust and collective approach to their training and development.
Owns the technical road map for the site ensuring the company remains current with technological advancements to support strategy deployment and customer alignment.
