We are currently looking for Engineering Education Specialists to join our Education and Skills team. Reporting to the Curriculum and Student Experience Specialist Manager, you will lead on planning, delivery, and assessment of curriculum within Siemens Mobility and Apprenticeship Standards both within Siemens Mobility and externally. Working within a team of training and development specialists, assessors, and verifiers, you will ensure all curriculum knowledge timely delivery is carried out in line with standards and relevant governance requirements. You\xe2\x80\x99ll make a difference by

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining the curriculum for the delivery of an effective learning programme to ensure the centre meets OFSTED requirements and expectations.
  • Taking part in standardisation, verification, and audit activities.
  • Identifying, monitoring, verification, and audit of any non-compliances within the knowledge qualification curriculum and taking appropriate measures to ensure such non-compliances are closed out in a timely and effective manner.
  • Marking assignments, assessing, and supporting learners throughout the course.
  • Supporting Siemens Mobility Professional Education and Apprenticeship, Accounts and Programmes in contractual obligations for OFSTED.
  • Fostering high achievement and excellence within the curriculum ensuring that learners are encouraged and supported to aspire beyond their personal best.
Your success will be grounded by
  • Possessing a relevant teaching qualification: PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, AET, Cert Ed, PGCE.
  • Assessor / IQA Qualification; knowledge of Assessor / IQA / IV / EV / EPA qualifications / processes.
  • Experience in a training role in an engineering function (preferably with knowledge of a rail/traffic organisation).
  • Deep knowledge of awarding body requirements, learner management systems and assessment & verification processes.
  • Understanding vocational programmes, assessment, and verification.
  • Degree level qualified (preferably engineering based) with additional experience in a vocational learning field.
  • Experience in an industry with high levels of regulation and compliance
  • Excellent IT, interpersonal, presentation, communication, organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Full driving licence
