Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to take on the role of Engineering Manager in a busy and challenging department. This is very much a hands-on role, in which you will provide vital support to the business, leading a team of shift engineers ensuring the smooth running of a 6 day per week operation.

The Role

To take a full and active role in the overall management and operation of the Engineering Department.

To assist with the creation, planning and organisation and implementation of all planned preventative maintenance activities;

To review systems for monitoring of all plant and machinery and be pro-active in seeking remedies to minimise any down time which may affect the operation of the production facility.

To review, monitor and maintain safe systems of work for the engineering team in consultation with the Engineering team, Managing Director and the Company's health & safety adviser.

Assist with the Managing of storage and ordering of spare parts and other essential equipment.

Assist with the installation and annual review of key plant and machinery, monitoring performance and recording and reporting material defects to Directors of the Company.

Liaise with Production team to ensure any required maintenance or emergency repairs minimise disruption whilst ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards.

Take pro-active role in daily, weekly and monthly machinery checks and repairs.

The Candidate:

An experienced multi-skilled engineer with experience in supervision/management.

Proven track record within a fast-paced production environment.

Conversant with PLC's.

Proactive and can-do attitude.

Flexible approach to working hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 40,000.00-50,000.00 per year
