Aulds Bakeries is a long-established, family-run business producing fresh, high-quality bakery products daily at our Greenock site. We're committed to delivering excellence across the central belt of Scotland, and to do that, we need a skilled and dedicated Engineering Manager to lead our maintenance team.

In this key role, you'll oversee all aspects of engineering on-site, combining a hands-on approach with strategic leadership to ensure equipment reliability, efficient production, and compliance with safety standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

Leading and developing a skilled maintenance team.
Creating and managing an effective planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule.
Rapidly responding to critical breakdowns and restoring production flow.
Overseeing repairs and installations across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and refrigeration.
Maintaining building and facility standards, including compliance with health and safety.

Sourcing and procuring parts, equipment, and external contractor services within budget.

Managing contractors and sourcing equipment within budget.
Working closely with the Bakery Manager and site leadership to drive reliability and reduce downtime.
Driving efficiency, cost savings, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For:

? Degree, diploma, 18th edition or equivalent in an engineering discipline (mechanical or electrical preferred).

? Proven experience in a similar role in manufacturing or food production.
? Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate a team.

? A hands-on approach to fault-finding and problem-solving under pressure.
? Up-to-date knowledge of engineering best practices and compliance standards.
? Experience with budgeting, procurement, and managing external contractors.
? A positive, can-do attitude and a focus on continuous improvement.
