Engineering Manager

Nottingham

65,000 per annum, plus Pension, Life Assurance, EAP, Performance Awards, Long-Service Awards and opportunities for training and development.

Our fabulous team in Nottingham are looking for a forward thinking and passionate Engineering Manager to head up the team.



The role is offered on a full time, permanent basis, Monday to Friday.

Your new role

This is a pivotal role to the site, to ensure the delivery of an effective engineering support and maintenance service in line with KPI and budgetary targets.





In this role, you will manage, develop, inspire and lead the engineering team on site, ensuring compliance with all company and legal standards when working. You will also be responsible for managing any contractors we have on site and liaising directly with engineering suppliers regarding maintenance and spares activity. You will be focused on continuous improvement and excellent standards of delivery.

What do I need to apply?

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic candidate who has had experience in a similar role, ideally in the laundry industry or at least within a high speed/volume manufacturing or production-type industry. You will need to have experience of managing a team, had responsibility for managing budgets, and have proven examples of where you have made continuous improvements in your current/previous roles. You will need to hold academic qualifications to support the role (mechanical, electrical, control skills), MEWP/FLT/IPAF, Six Sigma/5S/Kasien and IOSH/NEBOSH. Finally, communication skills in English and IT literacy are essential. You will require proof of eligibility to work in the UK.



This is very much a roll-your-sleeves-up position. We are looking for someone who has the drive and determination to make change and improve the way in which the Engineering team operate. There is a lot of work to do to get the team up to standard before we move to our new site in Q2 2026. You will need a sense of urgency, get up and go and the ability to drive change. You will also need to be able to have challenging conversations, when required.
