Established Large bakery with deep roots in Artisan Chilled and Frozen breads for the UK & European markets is looking to recruit an Engineering Manager. Responsible for organising and maintaining the Planned Preventative Maintenance System, managing the sourcing of plant spares and the maintenance of stock levels.

Direct the daily activities of the Shift Engineering Team engaged on breakdown and Planned Preventative Maintenance for the plant, maximising plant reliability, performance, product quality and safety.

The site is a unique blend of modern, advanced, automated lines alongside older, mechanical and manual equipment.

Main job duties of the successful candidate will include:

Manage the engineering function to ensure 24-hour cover To assist with the production, communication and implementation of career development structures and competencies within the department Set team objectives aligned with engineering and site strategies Ensure that all employees in area of responsibility carry out their duties in a safe & healthy manner complying with company Health & Safety policies and procedures. Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and replacements, coordinating capital requests with the central engineering team. To ensure that all equipment and machinery meets current Health and Safety standards and regulations. To plan and manage planned preventative maintenance program including keeping all record keeping. Advise Senior Management Team of any issues relating to equipment operation

Critical skills:

Min of 5 years managing experience

In-depth knowledge and understanding of modern maintenance practices.

Strong financial acumen, including basic financial awareness, understanding of business drivers, and budgeting processes

Ability to analyse data and identify trends.

Worked in a fast moving environment with FMCG, pharmaceutical, food background

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 60,000.00-65,000.00 per year
