Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role in Warwick with occasional national and international travel. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing and developing our small team of engineers and technicians, whilst also delivering engineering projects directly.

Engineering team management and development Engineering workload and process management Communication with internal and external customers Mechanical system design and development (Electrical knowledge desirable) Formulation and Execution of Engineering R&D programmes Design for manufacture and design and build of manufacturing tools and test equipment Design of practical experiments and modelling system behaviour Technical aftersales problem solving Provide engineering support to all departments

Person Specification

People manager. Strong communicator, able to convince others to get things done. Exceptional time management and organisation skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once. Meticulous record keeper who ensures everyone delivers on their commitments. Pragmatic problem solver who always gets the job done. Sleeve roller upper.

Experience

CAD and CAM software, (Solidworks preferred). Design for manufacture. Mechanical system design (Electromechanical advantageous). Leading engineering development activities - FMEA, concept and design reviews, new product introduction, risk registers etc. Practical experience of CNC machinery (programming and setting) sufficient to provide team members with technical guidance when necessary. Working with architectural, construction and engineering drawings.
