Based in Attleborough, Banham Poultry is one of the fastest growing business in Boporan (which also owns 2 Sisters Food Group) and is one of the largest employers in Norfolk. We are committed to providing the highest quality chicken and supply many of the UK's leading retailers, restaurants and wholesalers. We are expanding our team and are now looking for a talented person to be part of our success.

Currently we are looking for a dedicated and skilled Preventative Engineering Supervisor and his responsibility is to enhance the reliability and productivity by maintaining and improving our assets, technical capabilities, and to ensure that the Company comply with all the relevant regulatory requirements.

To manage the engineering team to optimise the use of staff and equipment within our revenue budgets and in alignment with the Company's safety, quality and environmental policies.

To foster effective cross-functional collaboration between manufacturing and engineering functions.

To cultivate a culture and behavioural values that enable the factory to adapt to current and future challenges with engineering technical support.

Essential skills :

Degree in an engineering field. At least three years of relevant work experience. Technical expertise and knowledge of health and safety (H&S) and statutory regulations. Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing skills to implement performance/reliability improvement projects and meet OEE targets. Project management skills to plan and deliver cross-functional step-change projects successfully. Manufacturing and 5S skills to ensure the quality and efficiency of the production process. Maintenance management skills to plan, organise and monitor maintenance tasks and budgets. Time management and problem-solving skills to meet deadlines, anticipate challenges and respond effectively to emergencies. Positive attitude and motivation to lead and inspire the team. Leadership and training skills to delegate tasks and provide feedback. Relationship-building and emotional intelligence to empathise with the staff's and other stakeholders needs and communicate effectively. Screenings and preventive maintenance skills to ensure the safety and reliability of the equipment.

Responsibilities :

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred. Engineering Operations Work Administration Team Management Management of Contractors Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis. Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
