The Engineering Project Lead at 2Excel is a role focused on leading and managing engineering projects, ensuring they are completed successfully, to the required airworthiness standards and customer requirements. You will be an experienced senior engineer with in-depth knowledge in your specialist field e.g. structures, avionics etc. This role involves overseeing teams, managing resources, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget through the complete Design, Manufacture, Installation and Certification process. You will have the opportunity to take a project from blank sheet of paper through to the completed certified product.
The role's key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Deliver the day-to-day running of an allocated project.
Maintain top-level awareness of the project.
Be proactive, decisive, innovative and forward-thinking regarding the timely completion of the entire project.
Control, review and explanation of the project Dependencies, Assumptions, Risks, Exclusions, Opportunities, Constraints and Issues (DAREOCI), schedule, and resource.
Help to determine, at the quoting stage, the costs and resources required for the project.
Adhere to the procedures within the applicable Organisation(s) as the basic working documents for all projects.
Be able to communicate with external stakeholders, such as Industry Regulators, Customers, Suppliers etc. project details, updates, risks and issues.
Co-ordination across all organisations and stages of the project, joining the dots to ensure there are no gaps and no actions, requirements etc are lost between those organisations and they are all aware of the wider context of their deliverables.
The successful applicant will have the following skills, knowledge, and experience
Part 21 DOA Design and Certification experience and knowledge
Part 21 subpart G POA awareness and liaison experience
Part 145 awareness and liaison experience.
