The Engineering Project Manager will manage continuous improvement projects of the CGT Catapult Manufacturing Innovation Centres (MIC's) and the cell and gene therapy cluster. CGT Catapult projects include CAPEX improvement as well as the onboarding of Collaborator partners into the MICs and the Engineering Project Manager will manage these processes.

Key Responsibilities





Be professionally accountable for all aspects of assigned projects to effectively deliver the project objectives of scope, budget, and program Manage Capex projects, from inception to completion in accordance with CGT Catapult's project policy and stage gate process Develop and deliver accurate and professional business cases to support capital project proposals Produce and communicate to all stakeholders regular forecasts of budget and schedule Develop accurate Project Initiation and Cap-Ex request documents to seek business approval and funding Develop project cost estimates Provide accurate project spend forecast and manage financial project spend throughout project life cycle Define, monitor and maintain project programs through design, construction, commissioning and validation phases to agreed completion targets Identify challenges and opportunities on projects, communicate and put in place plans to mitigate those challenges, and capitalise the opportunities and communicate to all stakeholders Develop detailed and well-defined project scope and pro-actively manage the scope through project delivery Help support the preparation of the annual Capital Budget and directly provide Engineering feasibility, costing and timeline input Ensure that all fiscal data is fully and accurately recorded in a manner that ensures proper and accurate project cost control and accountability, and complies with CGT Catapult accounting procedures Ensure relevant industry, safety and construction standards are complied with in accordance with CGT Catapult and statutory requirements Keep abreast of new technologies and innovations that would add value to the performance of the CGT Catapult MICs Continuously look to innovate and improve systems, plant and operations at the CGT Catapults MIC's Strive to be a role model in behavior and attitude that promote the values of CGT Catapult both internally and externally Be flexible and accountable to deliver projects within tight timelines Consistent and timely compliance with CGT Catapult's quality management policy, QA risk assessment and change control processes Provide effective Communication to internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels Develop and maintain a detailed project Risk, Action, Decision log throughout a project's life cycle

Experience:

Proven experience of working within a GMP environment, preferably in the ATMP or biologics space Proven project management experience in the contract manufacturing space, or similar industry Experience in managing LEP and/or IUK grant-funded projects and engineering projects would be an advantage Experience managing multiple projects of varying complexities simultaneously

Resilient, with the ability to manage multiple and varied tasks and prioritize workload within a fast-paced professional environment, with a strong attention to detail Flexible and pragmatic, able to learn quickly and respond flexibly to project needs and priorities A good team player with a hands-on approach, and adaptable to new challenges Demonstrated proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications with the ability to apply these tools effectively in project planning, reporting, and stakeholder communication Flexibility towards work assignments and new learning Ambitious, collaborative, driven Ability to work well under pressure, to work independently and to be able to take the initiative when completing tasks Comfortable operating autonomously once goals and objectives are set A positive attitude towards learning, personal and professional development Keeps up to date with professional knowledge, expertise and best practice Willingness to travel

Education / Qualifications:

Educated to Degree level in a relevant discipline (i.e. engineering or life sciences) Project management qualification (i.e. Agile)
