AMG Rotherham is seeking a motivated Engineering Stores Assistant to join our busy Engineering Stores team. This role is essential in ensuring accurate stock control, efficient goods handling and excellent internal customer service across the site.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm

Annual Salary Dependable on Experience, between 28,000 - 30,000

Duties

Accurately process stock withdrawals using company forms and systems.

Pick and issue stock to authorised AMG staff.

Maintain stock and cost allocation accuracy using Mainsaver.

Receive, check and process delivered goods via Mainsaver and Agresso.

Support cycle counting and maintain organised document files.

Assist with special orders, invoice enquiries and off-site repair scheduling.

Help develop Stores policies and procedures.

Support Engineering and Operations teams in identifying purchasing opportunities.

Progress overdue purchase orders and support on-time delivery performance.

Work safely, uphold 5S housekeeping standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Undertake occasional goods collection/delivery when required.

The Person

Experience in goods receipt and stock control in a stores/manufacturing/engineering/PPE environment.

Strong accuracy and attention to detail.

Confident using IT systems including MS Office and Excel.

Good numeracy, literacy and interpersonal skills.

Strong organisational abilities and able to prioritise workload.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexible and proactive approach.

Full current driving licence.

Desirable:

Ability to read basic engineering drawings.

Understanding of MSDS, COSHH, Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.

Experience with Mainsaver and Agresso (training will be provided).

Forklift truck licence (refresher training available).
