We're looking for Engineering Stores Technician in Leicester!
Job Overview: To provide a high level of stores support to Engineering and Operations, ensuring the site stock holding requirements are executed to the required standards and in line with our commitments to safe delivery, cost and quality.
Key Purpose: To provide a high level of stores support to Engineering and Operations, ensuring the site stock holding requirements are executed to the required standards and in line with our commitments to safe delivery, cost and quality.
Reports to: Stores Lead
Shift: 4 on 4 off Days
Responsibilities:
Work with Maintenance Planners , Maintenance Leads and SETs to ensure all planned maintenance is completed.
Provide support to ensure stores stock holdings are correct and aligned to site requirements
Lead and support improvements through CI initiatives and preventative actions (to include health & safety and food safety actions).
Effective capture of all stock movements in CMMS.
Good influencing, communication and decision making skills.
Motivated self starter with good prioritisation & planning skills.
To provide an effective and efficient store to minimise MTTR
To manage existing stores holdings to meet stores inventory scorecard KPI's
Receive goods inwards, gather supplier performance information and store the parts within 24 hours of receipt
Expedite parts replenishment with suppliers through various communication methods i.e. telephone, e-mail
Ensure parts are booked out against works orders and the correct cost centres are utilised to ensure cost of equipment is as accurate as possible
Control the introduction of new stock items
Manage supplier performance to ensure on time, full quantity and quality are at acceptable levels
Implement productivity ideas within the stores area
Ensure effective cost control within the stores
Give clear direction and hold regular review meetings with the site FLE teams to ensure all inventory transactions are captured and completed to the PIUK Inventory Business Processes
Initiate and process stores transactions once approved to ensure timely receipt and onward supply of parts to the customer
Perform weekly/rolling stock counts to PIUK business procedure
Update daily cost tracking spreadsheet with previous days figures
Qualifications:
Industrial experience in a food manufacturing environment would also be an advantage
Computer literate. Familiarity with computer software (word, excel, etc)
Strong problem solving skillset (Root Cause Analysis tools, Kaizen, Ishikawa, Cause and Effect)
Good influencing, presentation, communication and decision making skills
