The role
As a
Engineering Technician
at Amey Consulting, you'll see your work from early design to the very end result, and every project will be different from the last. You will be responsible for or assist with:
To work in a team, assisting in the production of technically sound engineering solutions, complying with all relevant technical standards and client requirements
General office duties associated with the smooth running of a consulting engineering business
Working on site, either on a visiting basis or in a full time but temporary role and including out of hours working.
Expected to meet any budget targets and deadlines set by their manager but will have no responsibility for the financial performance of the project
What you will bring to us:
Level 3, 4 or 5 qualification in an appropriate subject, i.e. a Level 3 Diploma, HNC, HND or a foundation degree
Engineering Technician (EngTech) status already held or to be gained whilst in the role
Vocational qualifications and competencies as determined by the requirements of the role, e.g. Bridge Inspector Certification Scheme (BICS), Network Rail STE competency, Personal Track Safety (PTS), Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS), Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA), Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers' Association (PASMA), confined spaces, asbestos awareness, working at height etc
Able to demonstrate basic technical and professional skills within the relevant technical discipline, probably gained during higher education and possibly supplemented by a period of industrial placement or vacation work or through successful completion of a relevant Level 3 Apprenticeship
