Join our dynamic Automotive, Construction, Engineering and Logistics (ACEL) department as an Engineering Technician, where you'll play a vital support role in delivering high-quality practical learning experiences. This is not a teaching post, but you'll work closely with academic staff--preparing equipment, assisting in workshops, and ensuring a safe, well-maintained technical environment. We're looking for someone with a solid engineering background, hands-on technical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your experience will directly support student success and enhance the learning environment. Ideal for those who enjoy working behind the scenes in an educational setting.

We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw campus to join our Automotive, Construction, Engineering and Logistics Department as an Engineering Technician on a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) basis.

Our Openshaw campus is a vibrant, modern hub of learning, equipped with outstanding, industry-standard facilities designed to inspire both staff and students. Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:


Level 2 English & Mathematics Industry relevant qualification as applicable by specialist function First Aid qualification (or be prepared to work towards within first year) Specific relevant industry experience Specific relevant specialist skill Ability to work as a team or individually Working to deadlines
