Job Description

We are looking for an individual to join our long established fabrication business in this newly created position as a trainee assistant quality Inspector to work alongside our current quality inspector.

You will be required to be enthusiastic, reliable and physically able to carry out heavy lifting and have manual dexterity to perform this role.

1. You will learn to assemble metal cabinets (think giant Meccano) using hinges, door stays, fasteners & fixings to ensure their specification matches the fabrication drawings and information provided following ISO9001 processes and other procedures on a task by task basis.

2. You will learn to be able to read fabrication drawings in detail and work using measuring tapes and calipers to deliver a high standard of accuracy, work to deadlines whilst maintaining quality of output

The role requires assembly and disassembly of metal cabinets to ensure they match the order specifications prior to being sent to paint.

You will work alongside the current inspector in training and learn to develop solution's for day to day problems encountered, ensuring wherever possible problems are worked around / resolved to minimise delays to production and prevent loss / damage of materials / cabinets through manufacturing error

You will be required to use drills and shufflers to rectify small issues as identified during inspection.

You will need to follow good working practices and adhere to paperwork systems to maintain ISO9001 quality and health & Safety standards by ensuring correct implementation of processes

You must have good communication skills to form interpersonal relationship s as you will be required to work with other departments.

You will be responsible for the day to day tidiness and cleanliness of all areas allocated for your work

You will be required to perform any other reasonable requests from the management team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 39 per week
