Job Summary

We are a leading installer of commercial heating and cooling products. Our client base is nationwide and varied (offices, warehouse, production/manufacturing environments, retail etc).

We are looking for an assistant engineer who will work alongside a qualified Lead Engineer to undertake installation of our products at customers premises. You will need to be based in the general area of Wigston/Whetstone/Leicester/Hinckley.

Ideally applicants will have experience in one of the following areas, however if you are able to demonstrate a good mechanical aptitude you will be considered.

- construction

- air conditioning

- heating

- plumbing

- electrics

The role requires:-

- working and staying away from home

- working long hours (often on the road for 6.00am)

- a commitment to safe working practices

- the ability to listen and take instructions

- happy to work at height - use of tower scaffolds, scissor lifts etc.

The right candidate can expect to look forward to continual training and development. Many Assistant Engineers undertake formal training to become Lead Engineers, so you should consider this as a long term employment opportunity.

We would like candidates to hold a full driving licence, although this is not essential.

This is a permanent, full-time position. Good rates of pay with average

gross earnings

(including overtime) for this role being 28k - 34k. 22 days paid holiday (increases to 25 with service) PLUS paid bank holidays. Workwear provided.

Payment is Door to Door.

Overnight Staying Away Allowance

- When staying away hotel is booked & paid directly by Air Ability (normally Travelodge, Premier Inn, Holiday Inn or similar)

- 25 meal allowance is paid per night (this is paid the following Tuesday direct into bank account and is not subject to tax)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

Schedule:

8 hour shift Monday to Friday Overtime
Work Location: On the road
