20-25 per hour (depending on experience)

Apex Learning Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated

English Tutor

to join our committed team. This role is ideal for a local resident with a passion for education and the ability to inspire learners to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and effective English lessons in line with the national curriculum for KS1-KS4. Plan, prepare, and deliver creative lessons that cater to varying learning needs and abilities. Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback to support pupil progress. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Ensure all safeguarding and welfare protocols are strictly followed. Deliver tutoring to 1-1 in a small group

Essential Requirements:

Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for English (KS1-KS4). Flexibility to work after school hours. Proven experience in teaching or tutoring English Language (advantageous but not essential). Valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one immediately). Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Classroom (or similar platforms). Ability to inspire a love of English in learners of all abilities. Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning. Patience and resilience under pressure.
