to join our vibrant team of Super Tutors in Carrickfergus. If you know the Northern Ireland post-primary curriculum inside out and love helping learners thrive, we'd love to hear from you!
Your Role:
Deliver engaging one-on-one or small group English sessions at post-primary level
Support students with reading, writing, comprehension, and exam preparation
Tailor lessons to meet individual learning needs and goals
Track student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student development
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
Degree-level education (preferably in English or a related subject)
Minimum 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience
Strong knowledge of the
Northern Ireland post-primary English curriculum
Excellent reading, writing, and grammar skills
Ability to engage, encourage, and motivate students
Clear communicator with a passion for education
Reliable, patient, empathetic, and professional
Preferred:
Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE)
Experience supporting students with additional needs
What to Expect:
A brief teaching demo will be part of the application process
Tutors should be willing to commit to the role for at least one year
All sessions will be

Key Details:
Pay
ranges from 20 to 30 per hour, depending on the level and type of lesson--whether one-to-one, group sessions, home visits, or sessions held at our Carrickfergus Hub. Further details will be discussed during the interview.
Expected hours:
4 - 25 hours per week
Schedule:
Flexible - weekdays and weekends available
