Flexible within the UK. Home-based, blended or fully office based (from our offices in Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh or London).

Hours:

Part-time (between 15 and 22.5 hours per week)

Status:

This is a fixed-term opportunity until the 31 October 2026

Salary

: 50,000-65,000 per annum (tailored to the skills and background of the successful candidate). Part-time calculated pro rata.




The team





The International Team at Energy Saving Trust works with partners across Europe to deliver a range of activities including, policy support projects, collaborative research, innovation projects and knowledge exchange initiatives. The role



This is an exciting opportunity and a key role in the delivery of Energy Saving Trust's presidency of the European Energy Network (EnR), a collaboration of national energy agencies across Europe. As Policy & Partnerships Lead for the EnR Presidency, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering a high-impact engagement activities that align with UK and European energy policy priorities.



You'll work closely with our CEO, internal teams, and external stakeholders to design and implement a suite of initiatives that showcase Energy Saving Trust's thought leadership across a range of topics related to the energy transition. This includes strategic engagement with UK Government departments, European stakeholder groups, and EnR member agencies.



Success in this role means raising the profile of Energy Saving Trust and the EnR network, building strong partnerships, and delivering meaningful impact through innovative policy engagement and communications. You'll be at the heart of our international collaboration work, helping to drive forward Energy Saving Trust's mission.


What you'll do





Lead the development and delivery of thematic strands and activities for Energy Saving Trust's EnR Presidency, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities. Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver impactful initiatives across the presidency year. Build and nurture relationships with UK and European stakeholders, representing Energy Saving Trust in key forums. Develop and implement stakeholder engagement and communication strategies in collaboration with internal teams. Monitor and report on presidency activities to senior leadership and the wider EnR network.

What you'll bring





Proven experience in policy, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement, ideally in a European context. Strong strategic planning and project management skills, with a track record of delivering high-profile initiatives. Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders. Deep understanding of UK and EU energy efficiency policy landscapes.
