We are looking for 10 Enrichment Officer's to join our Henshaws Partnership Programme at Henshaws College. This is a new role within a new service, offering an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our learners.



In this role, you will support the ongoing progress and education of Henshaws Partnership learners within both the community and college environment, enabling a clear and confident transition for each learner. You will help them to consolidate the skills they have already learned and apply them in different settings including college, the community, home life and future placements through our bespoke programme.



The role is ideal for someone with experience in education or care who is adaptable, creative and passionate about enabling young people with disabilities to thrive. By supporting learners in a person-centred way, you will help them build independence, confidence and a sense of belonging, in line with our mission to support people to go beyond expectations.

Salary: 13.19 per hour. 22,859.32 per annum



Hours per week: 37



Weeks per Year: 40

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:



Early Years Level 3 Diploma or a commitment to achieve this within 3 years Experience of working with learners with visual impairments, complex learning difficulties and/or other disabilities Experience in an education or care environment Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Understanding of safeguarding and health and safety in a learning environment Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and confident use of IT including Microsoft Office


It would be helpful, though not essential, if you have:



Knowledge of local authority funding for specialist education Experience or understanding of specialist communication methods such as Braille, BSL or Makaton
