The Role;



We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic

Enrichment Officer to join our Student Experience team at Newham College London. Based across our campuses (NewVIc, East Ham, Stratford, and IoT), the role is central to designing and delivering an inclusive and engaging enrichment programme that enhances learners' personal development. You will work closely with the Student Development Manager and cross-college teams to coordinate extracurricular activities, events, and projects that build student voice, leadership, skills, and confidence.

Key responsibilities;

Plan, coordinate, and deliver high-quality student workshops, cultural events, and student-led projects. Lead volunteering initiatives and ambassador/champion programmes across the college. Develop partnerships with local and national organisations to enhance student opportunities. Deliver clubs and societies that support student development and engagement. Collaborate with curriculum and support teams to embed enrichment across college life, including with SEND and Foundation Learning departments. Promote enrichment activity through digital platforms and college communications. Support cross-college initiatives that promote equality, diversity, and inclusion. Celebrate student success in engagement, leadership, and participation. Represent the college externally and support wider college initiatives as required.

Our Ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills and experience.



Good standard of education including Maths and English at Level 2 (GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent) - Essential Degree in a relevant subject area - Desirable Relevant teaching or professional qualification - Desirable Experience working with young people and/or adult learners in an education or youth setting. Proven track record in organising and delivering events, workshops, or creative activities. Experience in developing student/youth leadership or enrichment programmes. Pastoral or support experience to meet the diverse needs of students. Experience in developing partnerships and working with external organisations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Confident in using digital tools, social media, and online platforms to engage students. Able to use initiative, problem-solve and work flexibly. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults. A strong understanding and commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

The salary for this position is inclusive of London weighting. Please note that it is Newham College's policy to offer all roles at the entry point of the salary scale advertised. However, based on your qualifications and experience, we may offer a higher starting salary within the specified salary range.
