The role
We are looking for an Enterprise Risk Manager to join our team and help us further the
risk management framework and protect Funding Circle and its stakeholders from
unexpected risks.

Enterprise Risk Management is part of the Global Risk & Analytics division (second line
function under the Chief Risk Officer) at Funding Circle. The team works across financial and
non-financial risk types, although the main focus of the role will remain Operational Risk
in the majority of cases.

What will you be doing?

• Be a trusted advisor on risk-related matters and support the UK Business MDs and UK Chief Credit Officer in executing their risk identification and management responsibilities
• Build strong relationships across the business to drive collaboration and change to improve the risk and control environment
• Own elements of the Operational Risk framework e.g. Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Operational Risk Event Reporting, etc. for the UK business
• Develop, coordinate and provide risk related training
• Manage the preparation of committees and Board reporting and papers and lead special projects as determined the Head of Enterprise Risk (Continental Europe)
• Proactively problem solving, identifying and confidently mitigating any risks, issues or control weaknesses that arise in your day-to-day

What we\'re looking for

• Experienced in Operational Risk or Enterprise Risk Management (5+ years) in a similar organisation or consulting and ideally some 1st line experience in relevant areas such as Technology or Operations
• Experience with Operational Risk Reporting / Analytics
• Ideally experienced with implementing and managing Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems
• Good communicator with strong interpersonal and presentation skills and able to work independently and project manage deliverables across the business
• Organised and consistent in ensuring key deliverables are met on time
• Confident in using MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Google suite (Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides)
