Michael Page are partnering with a long standing client who are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team in York on a permanent basis. My client is looking for a progressive Finance and Accounting graduate or ambitious finance candidate with 6+ months transactional finance experience, to continue developing and offer them a clear progression pathway.

• Download bank transactions daily for the bank accounts allocated.
• Process accurately a high volume of transactions daily for the bank accounts allocated.
• Ensure receipts and payments are coded and posted to the correct ledgers, nominal ledger codes, cost centres and departments where applicable.
• Post all sales receipts to the correct client within the practice management systems where appropriate.
• Undertake weekly and monthly bank reconciliations to timetable.
• Undertake reconciliations of banking records to PMS to timetable.
• Conduct payment runs
• Working closely with Management Accounts team
• To support the business towards the achievement of the Group's strategy, goals and objectives.
• To undertake continual professional development (CPD) as necessary.
