Location:

This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work both remotely and from Peterborough office in Thorpe wood House.

About the Role





As an

Environment and Sustainability Advisor

, you'll provide hands-on support to construction teams, ensuring environmental best practices are embedded at every stage. You'll help deliver Anglian Water's ambitious 9bn investment programme, supporting sustainable growth, climate resilience, and a thriving natural environment.

What you'll be doing

Key responsibilities:




Support construction projects on environmental issues, including document production and stakeholder engagement. Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and the Environmental Management System (EMS). Conduct site inspections and audits, supporting both internal and external standards (including ISO14001). Deliver training and develop tools to raise environmental awareness. Report on performance, incidents, and drive continuous improvement in Health & Safety.


Who we're looking for

What We're Looking For




Degree in an environmental-related subject (or equivalent experience). Experience in contaminated land, statutory nuisance, waste management, soil testing, ecology, archaeology, and incident investigation. Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Experience working with environmental regulators and diverse stakeholders. Data analysis and reporting experience.
