Allen & York are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a well renowned and award winning university as they look to recruit an Environmental Sustainability Officer to join their Property Services Team. Based in Ealing at the main campus, your strong data management and stakeholder engagement skills will be utilised and there are a number of different areas you\'ll be responsible for looking into, including carbon, energy, waste, travel and biodiversity and indeed any areas that you identify as being important and relevant.

The university has set some ambitious but achievable targets for 2023 and, working closely with the Head of Environmental Sustainability, you\'ll be focusing on net zero, carbon emission reduction, monitoring the energy consumption and maintaining the environmental management system in accordance with !SO14001:2015. The university doesn\'t yet hold certification for ISO50001 this is something that they wish to do in in the coming year and it\'s definitely something you can be actively involved with.

The ideal candidate will come from a consultancy background where you\'ve had experience working across a range of different issues and sectors but candidates from a corporate background should also apply. In addition to the technical competencies, it\'s important that you are able to work independently and autonomously, are not scared to suggest alternative ways of doing things, have a \'can-do\' attitude and be very organised. You\'ll also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as you\'ll be required to collate and analyse data and then present this at meetings.

As you can imagine, there will be lots of stakeholder engagement which will preferably take place face to face on the estate. As such, you will be required to be on site for the majority of the week so you need to be located relatively close to the campus and be happy working on site/in the office.
