Environmental Technician

Balfour Beatty VINCI is proud to be designing and building a 90KM stretch of the West Midlands section of HS2. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Environmental Technician within the environmental team.


This role will be based on site in Bromford.


Please note candidates will need to have a current valid right to work in the UK to be considered for this role


Assist with environmental input into the deliverables for Stage 2:


Ensure compliance of works with Construction Code of Practice and other Environmental Works information Assist with development of EMS documentation and systems Assist with developing and implementing environmental works solutions/mitigation and monitoring regimes Ensuring roll out of system to ensure construction methodologies and programme meet Environmental Minimum Requirements Environmental Reporting Management of Environmental Opportunities and Risks, updating of register and progressing selected opportunity actions
Experienced required

Working together for over 30 years, Balfour Beatty VINCI have been successful in delivering several significant infrastructures; creating unrivalled expertise and capability across rail, highways and aviation sectors in the UK and beyond. Our work with HS2 Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire. Overall, we will be building the following across all our sites:


42 viaducts totalling over 11km 66 overbridges More than 35 cuttings reaching over 30km 56 culverts 66 embankments reaching over 33km Building four motorway crossings requiring box structures Six interfaces with the existing rail requiring both dive-under and overbridge structures
