The University of Exeter is one of the leading University providers of degree apprenticeships amongst the Russell Group universities with a growing portfolio of integrated degree apprenticeship programmes.

The Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy is seeking to appoint suitably qualified Independent Assessors for the End Point Assessment for the Level 7, Digital Technology Solutions Specialist (DTSS) Integrated Degree Apprenticeship, Data Analytics specialism (only). The role requires a high level of industry experience and relevant experience of academic assessment design and delivery.

The positions are available to start from1st January 2026 until 1st July 2026. The role is paid on an hourly basis, and on average you can expect 8 hours per apprentice. The final number of apprentices to be confirmed.

Please be aware that if you are successful in gaining this position the expectation is that you will be available for the

full duration

of the assessment period, and for any re-sits post assessment.

The positions will be based remotely.

Successful candidates will be expected to design and develop the EPA materials as required, mark and make grading decisions for all the elements of the End Point assessment. They will also provide constructive feedback for the apprentice in a timely manner, and where appropriate to the Department on how the EPA is organised and run.

The assessment are run each year and therefore there may be the opportunity to be engaged in similar work on a yearly basis.
