Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with the ability to work on various projects, including residential and commercial builds. This role involves heavy lifting and the use of both hand and power tools, as well as the ability to fabricate and assemble components for construction. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship are essential. General construction knowledge essential. So is the ability to take resposibility and lead a team while liaising with management. A good, positive, solution based mindset is crucial.

Duties

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. Supervise projects with the help of management. Perform joinery tasks including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials. Use hand tools such as chisels, saws, and hammers effectively. Operate power tools including drills, sanders, and nail guns safely. Fabricate wooden structures such as roofs, frames, and cabinetry according to specifications. Carry out painting and finishing tasks to ensure a polished final product. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure smooth project execution. Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and working in various environments. Supervise the on site team liaiase with management in making key decisions. Be accountable. Skills

Proficient in using both hand tools and power tools relevant to carpentry. Strong joinery skills with experience in assembling various structures. A good knowledge of general construction. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Knowledge of masonry techniques is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
