About the role

You will be part of our Metadata and Discovery team - specifically making the full range of research outputs across the University available through the institutional research repository ( ) and research management system ( ).

You will follow metadata policy and procedure; make judgements that ensure individual outputs are within the scope as required by various external stakeholders, including Research England\'s open access policy for future REF exercises; resolve enquiries from researchers and external users of the repository globally; and manage the end of day process independently, which will require attention to detail, and confidence in routines.

About you

  • You have an ability to pick up skills quickly.
  • You enjoy working as part of a team.
  • You will have experience with accurate and timely data input and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • You are able to work independently, to agreed deadlines, and plan and prioritise your own short- and medium-term work activities.
  • Being familiar with data management systems, preferably managing research information systems is desirable.
  • An understanding of referencing, bibliographic data and publishing practices would be an advantage.
