Applications are invited for the post of Equipment Driver Technician based at Ysbyty Bryn Y Neuadd, Llanfairfechan.The North West Wales Community Equipment Service provides community equipment (mobility aids) to hospitals and members of the public across North West of Wales. The service is a Partnership between Gwynedd, Conwy and Anglesey County Council and Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.The post holder will provide community equipment (mobility aids) to members of the public and community hospitals. Giving advice, technical information and support to practitioners and therapists on equipment whilst providing a timely delivery and collection service provision and decontamination service complying to the National Minimum standards for Community Equipment Services in Wales.Main duties of the jobSome key duties include:The delivery, fitting and collection of items in the community to the specifications set by clinicians with adherence to manufacturers' guidelines.Communication between relevant teams to ensure the smooth and effective running of the service for clients.Communicating with patients and carers. Some patients may have barriers to understanding.Plan routes efficiently, liaising with office staff and in accordance with patient/carer.A secondary requirement of this role would be decontaminating equipment once returned and some administrative work.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.About usIf you relish a challenge, have a passion to help others or simply fancy a fresh start, then Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales, has all the right ingredients.
