A career that will deliver change. Together, we'll help Britain achieve Net Zero.

Are you ready to help shape the future of low-carbon energy in the UK? Join us as an Equipment Engineer and play a key role in delivering one of the most ambitious nuclear projects in Europe. This is your chance to be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team that's powering millions of homes while building a more sustainable future.

The Opportunity

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E)

is tasked with delivering the design for several nuclear island (NI) buildings, systems, and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project. This involves working through an integrated team, supporting HPC construction and commissioning efforts, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. As a result, a Technical Directorate is being established to oversee the engineering disciplines and technical expertise needed to successfully deliver these projects through EPR-E's integrated teams.

As part of Edvance--a joint venture between EDF and Framatome--EPR-E is at the forefront of nuclear innovation. You'll be joining a team responsible for the design and construction of the nuclear island for Hinkley Point C and supporting early-stage design and replication work for Sizewell C. These projects are vital to the UK's energy future, and your contribution will help deliver clean, reliable electricity to millions.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Equipment Engineer, you'll be at the heart of mechanical design studies, ensuring that the equipment and systems meet the rigorous demands of nuclear construction. You'll work closely with back office design teams to clarify deliverables, analyse mechanical stresses, and propose modifications where needed to meet design criteria.

You'll play a key role in resolving technical issues during construction, integrating stakeholder feedback, and validating design feasibility through technical analysis and calculations. Your work will directly impact the safety, efficiency, and success of the HPC and SZC projects.

In time, you may also take on coordination responsibilities for valve-related activities, interfacing with a wide range of stakeholders. Your ability to lead technical discussions, maintain quality assurance standards, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team will be essential to delivering high-quality engineering outcomes.
